SHERWOOD FOREST
CITIZENS ASSOCIATION Welcome to Sherwood Forest, one of the most outstanding residential subdivisions in south Louisiana! We believe you have made a wise choice to invest your future with us. Even though it is over forty years old, Sherwood and its residents strive to maintain conditions which will encourage others just like you to make their family home here. It has a lot to offer including large shade trees, convenient access to malls and shopping, professional offices, health care services, and many churches. Maintaining the quality of life and living is an on-going process. It begins when you accept the deed restrictions applicable to the property you purchased. But this is continued and supported by what you do as a householder. Simple things like painting, cutting and edging grass, sweeping up grass cuttings and leaves, and replacing broken fixtures, are just a few of the contributions each of us can make to the daily appearance of our own homes, and the subdivision as a whole. Our Association aids this effort by maintaining the signs at the entrances and flower beds throughout the subdivision In the spirit of the Minute Men who fought at Lexington and Concord in the Revolutionary War, we watch out for each other’s safety and well-being. There is an organized and Association-funded security service to back up what each of us is doing on our own. While this cannot take the place of locking house and car doors during periods of absence, it does discourage would-be thieves. We invite you to join our Association and participate in this service. Please plan to attend at least one of the meetings of the Board of Directors held on the third Thursday of each month at 7 PM at the St. Thomas More Rectory. Bring your problems and questions. We may not be able to answer them all, but we do know who can. The Association can be contacted for security matters at 273-1353 or at email address sfcaweb@cox.net for general comments. Also, check out our website at http://www.sfcabr.org Again, welcome to the neighborhood! Jackie Gray President, SFCA P.S. Want to know what’s in it for you? Your house is probably the largest purchase of your life. Want to see its value maintained or increased? If we all follow the ideas expressed above, as well as others, it can happen. Remember, a rising tide lifts all boats. In like manner, rising home values impact all similar properties. Send feedback to the Webmaster 2008 membership application (form in adobe) |
